The problem is that California Schools have the worst score in the nation for the quality of our public school libraries.

The recommended minimum number of certificated librarians in a school is 1 per 785 students. The actual number in California is approximately 1 librarian for every 9,667 students.

We’re working to help turn this around and help school libraries go from worst to first.

But we can’t do it without you. Will you sign the petition today?
